At Rainbow Mental Wellness, we believe in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, their families, and their allies by providing care specific to the needs of every individual that reaches out to us. Our primary goal is to help you embrace who you truly are, empower you to be the most radiant version of yourself, and to guide you in learning how to advocate for your needs and desires.
Our life coaches will help you navigate queer experiences ranging from coming out positively and living authentically as the person you are, gender exploration, resolving relationship problems and building closer bonds with friends and family, parenting, the art of drag, and so much more.
We want our clients of all ages to discover and recognize their potential, overcome a lack of self-confidence or low self-esteem, reduce feelings of shame, guilt, fear, or anxiety, and ultimately leave each session feeling seen, heard, affirmed, and accepted for exactly who you are.
What is Life Coaching?
How is Coaching Different than Therapy?
A life coach is someone who will challenge, motivate, encourage, and support you in achieving your goals through curiosity and compassion. They act as a guide to help you identify areas of growth and create the steps necessary to achieve your goals. In addition, a coach will help you uncover beliefs and values that don’t serve you, as well as keep you focused and on track.
Although both coaches and therapists offer a support system to help you gain strength and clarity to help you move forward, coaching focuses more on where you are now and where you want to be through establishing goals. Therapists are trained on treating mental illness or other significant emotional and relational concerns and are often focused on helping you deal with past trauma.
Anyone can benefit from Life Coaching and it is up to your coach to help you develop appropriate goals depending on age, challenges you may be facing, or things you may like to accomplish. Sessions can be offered in person or virtually and are usually not covered by health insurance.

Alex-
I have a Masters's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy. Though I no longer practice therapy, I still use my Expressive Therapy background to help clients process and understand what they may be feeling or experiencing, especially younger clients who oftentimes don't have the words or specific language to describe what they are going through.
I work with both individual clients as well as children, teens, adults and parents. My specialties include gender exploration and LGBTQIA+ issues.
